Booking The Contacts for your special day is very easy and straight forward. We understand that you have so many things to organise: flowers, menus, seating plans, wedding favours, cars, photographers, videographers, the list goes on... which is why we keep things as easy as we can.

We pride ourselves on giving the best possible service we can and that starts with answering a few questions you might already have...

How many of you are there in the band?

The Contacts come as a single package - we are a full 5-piece band. There are no other complicated desicions to make, such as ‘how many different players in the band do I need???’ or ‘what different instruments do I want the band to play!!!’ This can all get very confusing and unhelpful. We keep things very simple as the arrangements for your big day are stressful enough already.

How experienced are you?

We have over 25 years of combined professional playing experience at all levels from private parties, weddings and corporate events. Over the years we have carefully polished our set-lists to make sure everyone has a fantastic time, both singing and dancing with all the songs. We want your night to be absolutely brilliant, so we constantly improve everything we can towards that goal.

A dedicated wedding band

Not all bands are suited for weddings. A good pub band might be OK for a pub, but on the biggest day of your life, you need a band dedicated to weddings and professional events. Our song choices have been very carefully chosen so both the youngest and oldest can enjoy the whole evening - all delivered to you in a warm family manner, highest professional conduct and with no foul language or inappropriate behaviour.

What time should we get you on stage?

We are extremely flexible on this, but to give you a guide from previous weddings, most evenings start around 7.30pm with our first set starting around 8.30pm for 1 hour, then a break with our second 1 hour set finishing at around 11pm - or indeed what ever time plan you need. Some venues have an 11pm curfew on loud music, other venues not. What ever your timings, we work with you for the smoothest evening we can. One thing of note is to serve your evening food between our 1-hour sets to make sure you get the best experience for you and your guests.

How long does it take you to set up?

Around 45 minutes. We are extremely respectful of the venue and occasion and set up our equipment with the minimum of fuss. Our sound check is very brief and unobtrusive.

Do you have your own lighting and PA system?

We provide large professional lighting to suit any venue, which is well kept and fits the occasion well. We also carry a high end quality sound system which is loud enough to fill most wedding and party venues for numbers of up to 300. We aren’t able to bring our own stage, but we are perfectly happy to play on the floor.

What kind of power do you need?

We are one of a very few bands who can run the whole band, all lighting and PA from just 2 normal 13 amp plug sockets!

Can we use your microphone for announcements ?

Absolutely yes! In the evening at a wedding you still may have announcements to make, and we have no problem with you using our microphones and PA for this - and at no extra charge!

Are you insured and have PAT tested equipment?

Most definitely - most venues require public liability insurance from the live entertainment and PAT testing for all electrical equipment - we’ve got our relevant certificates ready to forward to your venue.

Our venue has a noise limiter - is that a problem?

If you venue does have a noise limiter - and please do ask your venue if they have a noise limiter - we will find out if the level is too low for a normal acoustic drum kit and use an electronic drum kit (at no extra charge) so you still get us to provide a brilliant evenings entertainment.

Do you do requests?

In the case of first dance songs, we’ll always try our upmost but can't promise to meet every single requirement. We do have several songs already we can play, but if we can't, we can play the recorded track through our PA. If time is available to us and a song is appropriate for us we'll give it a good go. But we won't make promises, as we’d hate to disappoint if it doesn't work! As you can imagine, playing as many shows as we do, we aren't able to learn requests for each, but if we can we will.

With what method do I pay?

You’ll pay a 25% deposit with your booking date and then the remaining amount 28 days before your wedding day. You can pay by internet bank transfer, cash or cheque.
